Lucas Rush on Rock of Ages, Les Miserables, We Will Rock You & Jesus Christ Superstar
Updated: Sep 24, 2019
Lucas Rush has one of the most varied CVs of any musical theatre actor.
At the time of writing he's performing in I Wish My Life Were Like a Musical, a satirical revue of working in the industry, by composer Alexander S. Bermange, at The Crazy Coqs at Zedel in London.
He's also in rehearsals to play Lonny in the upcoming UK tour of Rock of Ages.
Lucas started acting when he was seven-years-old. Since then he's performed in Tosca, Peter Pan, Les Miserables, Fame, We Will Rock You, Grease, Jesus Christ Superstar, Saturday Night Fever, American Idiot and Thoroughly Modern Millie... to name but a few.
In this episode we talked about the shows he's been in as well as the recent collapse of the UK tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie on which he was resident director while playing Mrs Meers.
I first met Lucas a theatre fan at the Dominion Theatre stage door when he was in We Will Rock You in 2008. We did this interview almost ten years to the day since we met and, although we hadn't seen eachother for a few years, it was like no time had passed at all.
